El Camino Real Heritage Center

GETTING HERE: El Camino Real International Heritage Center is located 30 miles south of Socorro on I-25, Exit 115 and follow signs. Parking is limited at the Center and Car-pooling is recommended.

Shuttle busses from will run from Socorro and Truth or Consequences every hour from 9:00 a.m. through 4:00pm. Pick up points located at the new U.S. Bureau of Land Management office in Socorro, 901 S. Hwy 85/California (at “B” St.), and the Geronimo Springs Museum, 211 Main St. (at Jones) in downtown Truth or Consequences. A shuttle to Fort Craig will depart from the Santa Fe Truck Stop and Diner adjacent to overflow parking lot at Exit 115.

PARKING: Limited parking is available at El Camino Real Heritage Center. Additional parking at shuttle points in Socorro and Truth or Consequences, as indicated above, at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, and at the Santa Fe Diner at Exit 115. Large RV's should park at the Santa Fe Diner and take shuttle bus from there to the center. For those driving to the Heritage Center, please be aware of bikers and hikers on the frontage and county roads.
