Walt Disney World Orlando Florida
Walt Disney World is well known for exceeding guests' expectations with extra "magic". For even more magic, you can choose to visit during one Disney's many seasonal events. In the late spring, the smell of flowers fills EPCOT during the annual Flower and Garden Festival. This event showcases the incredible skills of Disney's topiary artists, as well as other flower experts from around the world. The Festival also features live music and special activities for kids. The event has become so popular that Disney has recently announced the addition of extra weeks, extending the fun.
Around the same time of year, Disney – MGM Studios comes alive with a special buzz of its own. The annual Star Wars Weekends, included in your regular park admission, invite guests to explore the world of the famous film series like never before. Special exhibits of memorabilia, as well as appearances from cast and crew members highlight this memorable experience.
Every year in September, Disney's Magic Kingdom hosts a special event known as Night of Joy. This event brings some of the biggest names in Christian music to Orlando for a rousing celebration. This event requires a ticket separate from your Disney admission.
The month of October sees two of Disney's most anticipated events. The EPCOT International Food and Wine festival, lasting for about a month over October and November, brings guests the chance to explore a world of culinary delights. Over 25 countries are represented in the marketplace, which allows visitors to sample tastes from all over the globe.
October also means Halloween at Disney. In late October, the Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, a spooky spectacular that lets little ones get dressed up and safely trick or treat around the park. All of the famous Disney characters are there, dressed in their own very special Halloween costumes. The night also features special shows, fireworks, and parades with a Halloween theme. This event requires a separate ticket which entitles children to free candy and special souvenir photo from Disney.
As the holiday season draws near in December, the Disney parks prepare for the holiday events they are so very proud of. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the Magic Kingdom is an event no one wants to miss. This event costs extra, but includes candy, hot cocoa and a souvenir photo to commemorate the special day. Yuletide parades and musical numbers start the festivities, and miraculously, every year it snows on Main Street, U.S.A.
EPCOT focuses on the global significance of the holiday season. With Holidays Around The World, visitors will get the opportunity to see how this special time is commemorated across the globe. Each country in EPCOT's World Showcase is painstakingly decorated to capture the essence of the season as it is in each different land. The gateway to the World Showcase is also decorated in a breathtaking display of lights that move to the beat of the holiday music. This is a special gift not to be missed.
